Healthy and delicious tuna and vegetable muffins for your dog.

Ingredients

  • 1 (5 ounce) can tuna in water, drained
  • 1/2 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1/4 cup oat flour
  • 1/4 cup grated carrot
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped spinach
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup water

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a mini muffin tin or line with mini muffin liners.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the drained tuna, grated carrot, and chopped spinach.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the whole wheat flour, oat flour, olive oil, egg, and water until just combined. Do not overmix.
  4. Gently fold the tuna and vegetable mixture into the batter.
  5. Spoon the batter evenly into the prepared mini muffin cups, filling each about two-thirds full.
  6. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of a muffin comes out clean.
  7. Let the muffins cool completely before serving them to your dog.

Notes

  • Store leftover muffins in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • These muffins are intended as a treat and should not replace your dog’s regular balanced diet.
