- 1 cup sweet potato puree
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce
- 1/4 cup water
- 2 cups whole wheat flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, mix the sweet potato puree, cheddar cheese, applesauce, and water until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the whole wheat flour and baking powder.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until a dough forms.
- On a lightly floured surface, roll out the dough to about 1/2 inch thickness.
- Cut out biscuits using a cookie cutter.
- Place the biscuits on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and firm.
- Let the biscuits cool completely before serving to your dog.
Notes
- Store cooled biscuits in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.
- You can substitute whole wheat flour with oat flour or brown rice flour for dogs with sensitivities.
