- 1 cup mashed sweet potato
- 1/2 cup rolled oats
- 1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup whole wheat flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine mashed sweet potato, rolled oats, applesauce, and egg. Mix well.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together whole wheat flour and baking powder.
- Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and stir until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Pour the batter into a greased 6-inch round cake pan or muffin tins.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let the cake cool completely before serving to your dog.
Notes
- You can add a tablespoon of peanut butter (xylitol-free) for extra flavor.
- Decorate with dog-safe frosting or plain yogurt if desired.
