A simple and healthy cake recipe for your dog, made with peanut butter and pumpkin.

  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 cup peanut butter (xylitol-free)
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup pumpkin puree
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 egg

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a small cake pan or muffin tin.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour and baking soda.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix the peanut butter, vegetable oil, pumpkin puree, water, and egg until well combined.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined. Do not overmix.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared pan.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. Let the cake cool completely before serving to your dog.

Notes

  • Ensure your peanut butter does not contain xylitol, which is toxic to dogs.
  • You can substitute whole wheat flour with oat flour or rice flour for dogs with sensitivities.
  • This cake can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
