- 1/4 cup peanut butter
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 egg
- 2 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour a small cake pan.
- In a large bowl, mix together the flour and baking soda.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the peanut butter, vegetable oil, water, and egg until well combined.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Stir in the crumbled bacon.
- Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a wooden skewer inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes before inverting it onto a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
- Ensure your peanut butter does not contain xylitol, which is toxic to dogs.
- You can also bake this in muffin tins for individual servings.
- Frost with plain yogurt or cream cheese if desired, but ensure it’s dog-safe.
