- 2 cups whole wheat flour
- 1/2 cup peanut butter
- 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, mix flour and baking powder.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together peanut butter, applesauce, egg, and water until well combined.
- Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until a dough forms.
- Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface to about 1/2 inch thickness.
- Use a donut cutter or two round cutters of different sizes to cut out donuts.
- Place donuts on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown and firm to the touch.
- Let the donuts cool completely before serving to your dog.
Notes
- Ensure your peanut butter does not contain xylitol, which is toxic to dogs.
