Easy homemade peanut butter donuts for your dog.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 cup plain yogurt (for frosting)
  • 1 tablespoon peanut butter (for frosting)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC). Grease a donut pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the flour and baking powder.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the peanut butter, vegetable oil, and water until smooth.
  4. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until a dough forms.
  5. Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface to about 1/2 inch thickness.
  6. Cut out donut shapes using a donut cutter or two round cutters of different sizes.
  7. Place the donuts on the prepared donut pan.
  8. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown and firm.
  9. Let the donuts cool completely on a wire rack.
  10. For the frosting, mix the plain yogurt and 1 tablespoon of peanut butter until smooth.
  11. Frost the cooled donuts with the yogurt mixture.

Notes

  • Ensure the peanut butter you use does not contain xylitol, which is toxic to dogs.
  • Store leftover donuts in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
