- 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breast
- 1/2 cup pumpkin puree (plain, not pie filling)
- Preheat your oven to 200°F (95°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Slice the chicken breast thinly, about 1/8 inch thick.
- In a bowl, combine the chicken slices and pumpkin puree. Mix well to coat the chicken evenly.
- Arrange the coated chicken slices in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 3 to 4 hours, or until the jerky is dry and firm. Flip the pieces halfway through baking.
- Let the jerky cool completely on a wire rack before serving or storing.
Notes
- Store jerky in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two weeks, or freeze for longer storage.
