Homemade chicken and pumpkin jerky treats for your dog.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breast
  • 1/2 cup pumpkin puree (plain, not pie filling)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 200°F (95°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Slice the chicken breast thinly, about 1/8 inch thick.
  3. In a bowl, combine the chicken slices and pumpkin puree. Mix well to coat the chicken evenly.
  4. Arrange the coated chicken slices in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
  5. Bake for 3 to 4 hours, or until the jerky is dry and firm. Flip the pieces halfway through baking.
  6. Let the jerky cool completely on a wire rack before serving or storing.

Notes

  • Store jerky in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two weeks, or freeze for longer storage.
  • Ensure the pumpkin puree is plain and does not contain any artificial sweeteners or spices.
