Simple homemade dog biscuits with blueberries and spinach.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1/4 cup fresh blueberries, mashed
  • 1/4 cup fresh spinach, finely chopped
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup water

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the whole wheat flour and rolled oats.
  3. Add the mashed blueberries and finely chopped spinach to the dry ingredients.
  4. In a separate small bowl, whisk together the egg and water.
  5. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until a dough forms.
  6. Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead a few times until it comes together.
  7. Roll out the dough to about 1/2 inch thickness.
  8. Cut out biscuits using a cookie cutter.
  9. Place the biscuits on the prepared baking sheet.
  10. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and firm.
  11. Let the biscuits cool completely before serving to your dog.

Notes

  • Store cooled biscuits in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.
  • You can adjust the amount of water slightly if the dough is too dry or too wet.
