Simple homemade biscuits for your dog using beets and apples.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 cup grated raw beet
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, combine whole wheat flour, grated beet, applesauce, water, and olive oil.
  3. Mix until a stiff dough forms.
  4. Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface to about 1/4 inch thickness.
  5. Cut into desired shapes using cookie cutters.
  6. Place biscuits on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until firm and lightly golden.
  8. Let cool completely before serving to your dog.

Notes

  • Store cooled biscuits in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.
  • You can adjust the water amount slightly if the dough is too dry or too wet.
